Happy Hens, Happy Eggs

2026 Update: While we are not currently raising chickens on the farm to allow more time and devotion for our other animals and new projects, we do our best to stock our shelves with organic, locally raised chicken from the Lower Mainland. Visit our market to discover our current selection.

• Our hens have all-day access to outside pasture with native grasses and wildflowers, which enrich their diet and contribute to the quality of their eggs.
  
• We use rotational grazing to ensure the health of our hens and the land. This method enhances the soil and allows the hens access to fresh, nutrient-rich pasture.
  
• Our hens are free to engage in natural behaviours such as perching, pasturing, scratching, socializing, and dust bathing. When given the opportunity to engage in these behaviours; the hens are more content, live longer, are more productive, and produce better-tasting eggs.
