- (4) Pork Butt Steak
- (1/2 tsp) Salt
- (1/4 tsp) Black pepper
- (1/4 tsp) Paprika
- (1/4 tsp) Garlic powder
- (1/2 tsp) Thyme
- (1 tbsp) Olive oil
- (1/2 cup) Onions
- (1 1/2 cup) Mushroom
- (1/3 cup) Red wine (water or vegetable stock could be used)
First, season the pork steak with a combination of salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder (if desired).
Next, warm up some olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the pork steak in the skillet and cook each side for 2 minutes or until it loses its pink color. Remove the cooked pork steak from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
Now, add mushrooms and onions to the skillet and sauté them for about 2 minutes.
Place the pork steak back into the skillet along with the sautéed vegetables. Pour in some wine (you can also use water or stock as a substitute). Add extra salt, pepper, and thyme to taste. Cover the skillet with aluminum foil.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Transfer the foil-covered skillet to the preheated oven and let it bake for approximately 20-25 minutes.
Once the cooking time is complete, remove the skillet from the oven, uncover, and serve your delicious dish. Enjoy!
